Rocker Convertible Diaper

registering for baby stuff & things I will buy myself?

I am a nanny so I know a lot about what babies truly need and how to keep things simple... So when I register this is what I want... Please tell me if this is good:

1 year supply of Diapers and Wipes
Baby Monitor
Breast Pump
Medical/grooming kit (thermometor, brush, etc.)
Humidifier

Things I will buy Second hand myself:

My husband and I have a HUGE family so I think I can get that many diapers (registering for different sizes and brands)....should the host kind of emphasize through word of mouth that we truly want diapers? and as for the stuff I buy myself, that is just when the baby is born, its obvious I will be buying more things as the baby gets older....and I already have a high chair, stroller and rocker.
Oh and Blankets and burp clothes are under the "I will buy new myself" list

Actually you don't want a year supply of diapers because depending on how fast you child grows or depending on how your child pees, will depend on what kind of diapers will work the best. My son was in Pamper Swaddlers to begin with, then we moved on to Huggies because he was leaking out the Pampers Swaddlers because they got to little on him, the Huggies were the regular ones and I only used them because I had over 400, then we moved to Luvs because they were cheaper, then the gel beads started coming out of them so we switched back to Pampers Cruisers and so far no leaks. I would suggest you get a just a few packs of diapers and then buy more as you go along. Also you should probably buy your breast pump because you want to check out different ones and see which one you might like the best. I guess if you get some gift cards at your shower you could use them to buy it. You can get the year supply of wipes but you might want to tell them to get the hypo allergenic ones in case you little one is sensitive to the dyes and perfumes that are in them. You should register for lotions/shampoos, rash creams, bottles and pacis. Those can be expensive too and getting them at a shower is awesome. Also book, the jumperoo you should register for too. The carseat, convertible crib need to be bought new, because getting one second hand you never know if it has been in an accident or how old it is and both of those have expiration dates. Also you would need to check to see if they have been recalled. So register and then if you don't get them, then buy how you want but always first register for all the big stuff and see what you get and what you don't. Nursery Furniture Must Haves

Why do you need a separate room for the baby you might ask and the reason is that your baby needs his/her own space that is quiet and completely clean and free from outside germs as much as possible. The nursery area is the one place you and baby can retire to when you are both tired. Also, familiarity allows your child to sleep and grow.

Some Nursery Furniture Must Haves:
First and foremost you will have to move out all the furniture from the old room, clean it, paint it and install the rug or carpet if you are thinking of having one. It you don’t have a rug that is pre-installed then it is advisable that you don’t install one as then the floor would be easier to clean and this reduces the chances of dust mites.
Baby Cot/Crib – One of the first and the most important items of furniture you will need for your baby is the baby cot or crib. It is imperative that you choose correctly and the mattress isn’t too soft or too hard other wise the baby will be very uncomfortable. Make sure the baby crib has casters so that it is easy to be moved around if the need arises. Some cots even come with the option to be converted to cots once the baby has outgrown it and the furniture store will either help you with the transformation or they come with easy do-it-yourself manuals.
Hammocks – You even have rocking cribs which are a good option as the rocking motion is said to help the baby sleep. Hammocks are a good option for the baby till they are around 12 months old.
