What is the rule when writing a sentence with a series of modifiers?
What is the rule in the arrangement of words? In this example: The beautiful Asian girl walked gracefully on the catwalk.
Why can't the word "Asian" be before the word "girl"? Sometimes I see, adverbs placed before verbs, like "gracefully walked". Is there really a rule in terms of sequence, because it can become confusing when there is more than 2 modifiers in a series. Possible modifiers in a series are color, texture, origin for things. Possible modifiers in a series for a person are age, gender, country of origin, personal appearance.
"Asian" is before "girl," in the example sentence and in your question. Adverbs are the most easily moved parts of speech--they can go before, after, or sometimes much after.
The order of a series of adjectives describing an object is more complicated and something most native speakers--including me-- cannot tell you without a textbook. I looked around for the one I used to teach this pattern, but, alas...I can't locate it.
I think if you write out some phrases, you'll see the rules. You can do this as well as anyone else. Start with "beautiful Asian girl."

Average price color ink for a Cannon series printer?
Im not sure how to reallly name the printer, its a cannon series printer that fazes, copies, photocopies....printes in color and black and white.
So what is the average price for a thing of color ink?? if there is a specific amount or color, please tell me. Im not educated in this stuff all that well.
