Period Question Woman i need your help! ?

I'm 16 and i have REALLY bad periods! I use Tampons Super Plus at night so i dont get blood on my sheets but somehow i still manage to leak through it. So one night i decided to get extra long winged pads to wear for extra safety. Somehow i missed 1/2 the pad even though it was lined up perfectly and it got on my VERY expensive Silk yes real silk comforter. That sucked! So i was wondering what are some things you have done at night? I'm thinking about getting Serenity Underwear for nights. Yes i know they are adult diapers lol but anything to stop ruining my bedding!
Oh yes silk sheets ARE expensive! My stupidity leaving them on my bed! I've got to take better care of my items like that. They are silkNow 100% Pure Silk sheets and i paid $886 for them. It was a Bed in a Bag. SO EXTRA side question..."does anyone know how i should wash these sheets?"

It's not usually recommended to wear tampons at night. I've been fine with long&thick wing pads during the night. I think using serenity underwear would probably help.
