Small Diaper Bag Purses

Do you carry a Purse and a Diaper Bag? Or is your Purse your Diaper Bag?

I have a huge Coach purse which holds all my stuff and all my son's basic 'diaper bag' necessities.
BUT when he's not with me and I leave his stuff at home (sippy cup, crackers, toys, etc.) the purse is practically empty and has a bunch of unnecessary space which makes it hard to fish out my keys or cell phone because everything gets jumbled on the bottom.

My purse is NOT a diaper bag, it's just an over-sized Coach purse that I use as a Diaper Bag/Purse combination.

I'm just thinking of ditching it and getting a smaller hand bag and carrying a diaper bag separately, I'm just wondering if that would be more of a pain in the butt?

So my question is:
Do you have a Diaper Bag that is separate from your Purse?
Or are your Diaper Bag and Purse the same thing?

I have "struggled" with this for awhile.
I LOVE purses and bags.

I have a lot of purses and bags- but most of them are smaller.
I got this beautiful Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bag as a gift from my dad and stepmom. I was SO excited to use it. And naturally, as first time mom, I overpacked and brought everything my son might need on our outtings. I thought it was a pain in the butt to have a purse AND a diaper bag- but I needed the diaper bag, plus, it was super cute and I only get to use it for a certain period of time.

So- I got a really cute Fossil wristlet. That holds the essentials like cash/cards/change/lipgloss. There's a key hook in the diaper bag (or I just throw them in my pocket- as it's winter hear and I have to wear a coat. And there's a special pocket on the diaper bag for cell phone.

So that's what I do right now.
THen I have what's called a toddler tote. It's the smallest- small enough that I could easily carry a purse if I wanted to.

They are both PPB also.

Right now, they are one in the same- that wristlet is amazing.
I just like having options.

That wristlet holds more than I ever thought- and unless I hve a ton of reciepts in it, my phone usually fits in there.

I do have two other awesome diaper bags (that's how much I love bags)- they are both smaller than the first -and can now be used easier for my son as I don't bring as much with. That almost looks like a purse (I know some people actually buy them and use them as purses).
