Would you say I am a strict father?

When my children were very small I carried a reasonably sized switch around when I took them out to train them to mind daddy always.I spanked them as children with my hand or maybe a paddle.I assigned them chores.I have a ZERO tolerance policy for lying,stealing,backtalk,mumbling,defiance,and open disobedience.My youngest children are teenagers now and I continue to whip them with a belt for any of the above mentioned.I tell them to report to my study or bedroom at >insert time here<.They know that means to go get "the strap",bring it to me,take off their clothes,down to their underwear,and bend over.

Spare the rod spoil the child. Yes you are a strict father, however, that is what is needed. Especially in today's society. My old man would hit me and my brother, sisters never got hit and it was the best thing he could do for me.
I respect him so much more for it now as a young adult and he is my hero.
When kids f*ck up they need to be told that what they are doing is wrong.
