NEW RULE in Martial Arts, make everything more clear.?

If a "black belt" is challenged and looses they must give up there rank to there foe. To regain you must be able to take it back. This would solve alot of problems. We would know what works and what dosen't. Every one with a black belt would have surly earned it and deserved the respect that will surly come with holding it.
This way they will mean something again. I'd like to see a 10 year old hang on to there black belt. Make a new belt for kata and tag experts, maybe PINK. Let real and skilled fighters hold the "Almighty Black Belts" if they can. If everyone is going to worship this piece of cloth, atleast make the worship for real experts of combat not kata toting tag playing goofs that are unable to beat there way out of a wet paper bag. Let them wear PINK I say.

Im not sure where the question is here, but I agree to some points and not with others.

I stand by you in that I do not support Junior level Black belts. To be a BB you must have more than just fighting skill you must have wisdom and experience. Thats is where age comes in.

A good BB and Sensei does not Have to necessarily be a great fighter themselves to teach someone else how to be one. Take myself for example, I am not disabled and cannot fight as I did when I was on TEAM USA from 1992-1997. NOW with my disability i could not hold my own well anymore against a number of people even one on one. so point is if you KNOW the knowledge and can teach it you can make someone else a great fighter, teaching is alot more difficult than learning is I think.

The days of challenging a BB to get thier ranks is over and should remain that way. THOUGH they do need to have high standards as to who can have such as rank in their system. It took 8 years of 4 day a week training to be have the honor to test for Shodan. I know MANY TKD schools you go in sign papers give them money and gaurantee you a BB within a year or two.

That is simply impossible and i beleive you must be at least 18 to have a BB and at least over 45 to be a Master. I have 31 years in so far and have obtained a Sandan, third degree to date and i am 36. SO even though most my life has been MA I still need to wait till i get older and wiser and learn more that i can become a godan or 5th degree one day and obtain a Masters level. I am in no rush and will reach it I am sure in my late 40's as expected.

Arrogance also does not go well with a BB either, it can destroy a person inside.

I beleive a BB is to be called Sensei or such IN the DOJO and in class, on the street or a restaurant sure it is nice to be respectfull but I personally am embarrased when five people stand to attention and bow to you at a public restaurant while with your significant other, a friend or family and they all yell OSS and bow across the restaurant. THAT is too much and overkill, its enough in my eyes to just come up and say hello and give a small bow and hello. i am a traditionalist but we are all equal in America and we all are a Sensei or teacher of something in one way or another so. so hence we all deserve respect unless that respect has properly been revoked.
