Traveler Diaper Bag
Do infants sitting on parents lap on an airplane get a bag too?
I am flying tommorow and my 3 month old is sitting on my lap. I know each traveler is allowed a cary on and a personal item, does this include one for her too, or no because she doesn't have her own seat?
I was just wondering if I could bring my purse, the diaper bag and a carry on bag??
It may depend on the airline, but according to this FlyerGuide, American Airlines does not give a lap baby a baggage allowance, but you do get to bring the diaper bag, and you can take a collapsible stroller as far as the door of the plane (it will be gate-checked).
Other airlines are probably similar. Call the customer service number for the airline you're using and ask.
I'm just thinking back to when my son was 4 months old and flying with me for the first time. I didn't have enough hands to deal with a carryon bag in addition to him, his diaper bag, and my purse.
