I need an alternative to wallpaper sort of.....?

I'm painting my kitchen (white walls, turquoise trim and cabinetry except the doors) and decided to put wallpaper on my cabinet doors. (In a black and white pattern) Apparently wallpaper is sorta pricey, so any suggestions on what else i could do? (besides stenciling in the intricate pattern?)

You can also use fabric. You can find discontinued fabric in JoAnns near the back of the store for as little as $1.99 a yard. You can use decoupage medium or spray adhesive like Super 77 to adhere it or if you want to eventually remove it use liquid starch (it will peel right off) You can also use etch on patterns available at craft store that are like rub-on designs.
