unisex diaper cake help please! asap?

I'm making my friend a diaper cake, we don;t know what she's having so I'm not too sure how to do it. I think I'm going to end up going with pooh. I cant really think of anything better for a unisex diaper cake. This is my first time making one, so if you have ANY tips or anything, please please let me know, i appreciate all the help I can get. Also what kind of things should I put on it, howmany diapers for each tier and so on. It will be a three tier cake. thanks a lot

I just made one today! On the top layer I used 7 diapers. The middle layer had 6 in the center and then 12 around those. The bottom layer had 7 in the center, 13 around that and 19 around those. I used a size 2. If you don't know what she's having why not just go with yellow? I don't like it when they have tons of crap hanging off of them, I think they're cuter when they're simple. A yellow ribbon (or a yellow/polka dot or yellow stripe, etc) around each tier and a yellow bow on top. Or if you want to do Pooh, put a small stuffed animal on top. To see the easiest way to construct one watch these two videos- they really helped me!

I used clear hair ties on each individual diaper and rubberbands around the tiers. I used two boxes of tubes of A&D ointment in the center instead of bottles or a wooden dowel. That way she gets diapers and diaper rash ointment. =] Mine was for a boy so I put a 2 inch sheer baby blue ribbon around each tier with a 1/2 inch "It's a Boy!" ribbon around on top of the blue one. I put a giant baby blue bow on top with "It's a Boy!" curling ribbon under the bow that draped down over the first layer of the cake. I put the whole thing on a 14' blue plastic tray that I got from the $1 store. It turned out SO cute! I hope my description was clear & helpful. Good luck!

12 weeks pregnant trying to get a headstart on baby registry.?

im doing unisex colors so no it does not matter that i do not know the sex yet.
this is my first baby and i have a list of what i "need" for the baby, but some of it seems pointless and more of like a must have for baby.
what are the most important things i should register for?
i already have registered....
monitor , travel mirror , burp cloths , diapers , bottles , bottle sterilizer , bottle brushes , pacifiers , mittens , rattles , teethers , first aid and grooming kits , vaporizor , diaper pail , tub , hooded towels , wash , shampoo , lotion , diaper rash ointment , baby wipes , wipe warmer , travel system , jumper , bouncer , positioner , high chair , crib/portable crib , toys , socks , onsies , shoes.
what am i missing , or do u suggest that any of these items are not necessary?

You won't need a wipe warmer, they'll just dry out your wipes. I wouldn't spend the money on shoes either because they grow out of them so fast. I also wouldn't register for the little stuff like shampoo, lotion & diaper rash cream and jsut register for the "big" stuff or register for everything theme-wise (i.e. winnie the pooh) I wouldn't register though until later, I don't know when regisitries expire. If you plan on knowing the sex, then wait until then to register so you can go with a "boy" theme or "girl" theme.

Also, don't forget about a car seat, stroller & maybe a swing.
